The Elephant In the Room

Yes, Night Wolf has a more mature look and feel to it with sexy art and gore. However, there has been no nudity on the covers or interior pages, until this new Kickstarter. A few months ago, I sent out a survey through the newsletter. One of the questions was, "How do you feel about NSFW (not safe for work) Adult Covers for the Night Wolf series?" Most Wolf Pack members who voted had answered, "I love NSFW covers, you should do one for the next issue!" Therefore, I am offering one NSFW cover for Night Wolf #6 that I am testing out to truly gage pack member interest. The jury is still out whether I'm going to have more of these covers produced for future Night Wolf issues or not. Now, I say "future Night Wolf issues" because I will never have one produced for the Snow Paw series, nor will I feature Snow Paw on a NSFW cover. I intend to keep Snow Paw an all-ages comic book series. My intention with Snow Paw is that she remains to be a strong heroine that young girls, like my daughter, getting into comic books can look at as a role model. That said, my hope is that pack members can enjoy both series for the great stories that they are regardless of covers. It's a tough balance, but I always try to provide options for everyone to choose from during my Kickstarter campaigns.

I have dropped off all but 8 of the Snow Paw Issue 1 Kickstarter rewards at the post office. If you haven't already received your rewards, they should arrive very soon! If your packages never arrive, something is missing, or something is damaged please let me know. I will get you taken care of the best I can right away! What's next for Lone Wolf Comics?

The Night Wolf Issue 1-6 Kickstarter launch is coming up at the end of March or early April. Issue 6 is nearly complete! Carlos Herrera's interior pages are all done and he is working on his cover as we speak. Gat Melvyn is working on coloring the second half of the pages, and I've been lettering as he hands them off. Also, the last few variant covers are almost done. While I've been waiting on art I've also been busy building the Kickstarter page. I just finished the rough draft enough to publish the prelaunch page! What's next for the Snow Paw series?

Mog Park should be starting the line art for Snow Paw issue 2 by the end of March. I'm anticipating a summer Kickstarter launch for that Kickstarter after the book is 100% complete and I have finished the fulfillment for Night Wolf Issue 6. I will definitely keep you posted as the Snow Paw team makes progress.

Physical Rewards Fulfillment Update!

Happy Friday my Wolf Pack!

I hope you are staying safe and warm! Though, depending on where you are in the world, the warm part might not apply to you. For me, it's cold and snowy here in Western Pennsylvania. We've been getting hit with several feet of snow over the last few weeks. Last night was no exception. This morning it took my two boys and I two and a half hours to clear our driveway and sidewalks. The local snowplow trucks also blocked the end of my driveway with three feet of ice, snow, and salt that I had to clear. I'm lucky enough that I can work from home as long I have internet, but my wife can't, so we had to clear it all before she could go to work leave. As I sit here with my sore back, I'm thinking it's time to invest in a snow blower during the off season, when the prices come down of course. Right now, the prices are ridiculously too high. Anyway, you are here for a physical rewards fulfillment update and not the status of my living environment nor my sore back, so here we go!

I have been focusing on the Snow Paw Kickstarter fulfillment in evenings after work and the kids are settled in to bed for the night. As of this email I am 2/3 of the way done, which mean that I have 158 more  Wolf Pack members' rewards to pack up and ship out. These pictures show my fulfillment organization which helps to streamline the process. Recently, I started a TIKTOK account, and I recorded a quick tips & tricks video on my fulfillment process. For those of you who ordered CGC graded copies of Snow Paw, I'm still waiting for the CGC to return them to me. It shouldn't be much longer because I paid them extra to fast track my order. Also, those of you who ordered Metal covers, Faerie Metal said that they should be finished up this weekend and shipped out to me next week. As soon as they come in I will get them packed up and right back out the door with the rest of your rewards!

Some Wolf Pack members have already been posting that they've received their rewards on various social platforms. Here are two sketch covers that a pack member had commissioned my very talented friend, Megan Affolter, to draw two versions of her chibi-style Snow Paw on for him and his brother. I think they came out amazing, don't you? Megan and I have talked about her doing a chibi variant cover for issue 2. Comment below and let me know what you think!
